Our Sacred Community
A mission parish where seekers and lifelong Orthodox Christians gather to deepen their faith. We welcome all to experience the sacred traditions of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia through our English and Church Slavonic services, followed by fellowship and coffee hour after Divine Liturgy.
Parish of ROCOR
As a mission parish of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR), Holy Transfiguration is a member of the Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America. We are dedicated to preserving the ancient traditions of the Church while serving our community with faith and grace.
Service Schedule
Fr. Raphael Tadros leads our mission parish services typically on the last weekend of each month. When he's not available, the parishioners conduct Readers Services every weekend. We welcome seekers and lifelong Orthodox Christians alike to experience the sacred traditions of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR). Services are held in English and Church Slavonic, followed by fellowship and a parish meal.

Visiting Our Orthodox Church in Peoria
Do I need to be Orthodox to visit?
Visitors are always welcome to come, pray, and experience Orthodox worship. We are a mission parish where newcomers and seekers are warmly received.
Is there a cost to attend services?
There is no cost to attend. Everyone is welcome, and donations are always appreciated but never expected.
What is the service schedule?

Do you offer a parish meal?
Yes, we host a parish meal and coffee hour after Divine Liturgy. This is a wonderful opportunity to fellowship with our community and share a meal.
What language are services held in?
We offer services in both English and Church Slavonic, allowing for a deeper connection with our traditions and the global Orthodox Church.
